'Seven wonders of KAI' event

I was recently invited to spend the evening at KAI Deansgate for their 'Seven Wonders of the World’ event. Located on Deansgate, KAI’s Turkish grill restaurant provides a mixture of good food with glamorous decor.

Hosted by award-winning nightlife app Viper, the event provided guests with the opportunity to try three courses from a set menu as well as four of KAI’s speciality cocktails for just £25. Alternative drinks, such as prosecco and beer, were also included in the deal.

Lamb Kofte (left), Chicken Sikh Kebab (right).

For my starter, I opted for the Kofte with lamb and red onion pickle. This dish was lovely and was a generous starter portion. The meat was succulent and full of flavour.

I chose the Chicken Shish for my main, served with salad and a beetroot flavoured cous cous. This was beautifully presented and looked really appealing, however it was a lot spicier than I anticipated! If you are wanting a milder dish, I would opt for the Adana Kebab as it was less spicy and I really enjoyed the small bit of this that I tried.

Dark Chocolate Brownie (left), KAI Royale (right).

For dessert, I tried the Dark Chocolate Brownie. This was amazing. I have such a sweet tooth so this rich chocolatey dish definitely hit the spot! However there were a number of other alternative options to suit a range of palettes.

Drinks wise, I tried the KAI Royale (the prosecco based cocktail mixed with creme de cassis). This was lovely and is one of my favourite festive drinks so it really got me in the winter spirit.

A range of entertainment was provided throughout the evening, including a live band & music from DJ Sarah Giggle.

I really enjoyed this event and, other than the spiciness of my main course (wimp, I know), I thoroughly enjoyed my food. It was a great atmosphere and the decor is out of this world. I will definitely be returning soon!

KAI is located at:
82-84 Deansgate
