Blogmas #19: 3 festive bars to visit in Manchester

If you know me, you'll know that I'm out a lot in Manchester so it's really nice to try some festive-themed bars and drinks this Christmas. I love everything about Christmas and there's nothing more I love than spending time with my loved ones - what better to do than to enjoy a cocktail or alcoholic drink while taking in the festive surroundings?!

Here are 5 bars that you should definitely visit this Christmas.

1

Oast House 'Curious Tee Pee'

The Oast House isn't somewhere I visit regularly but I've always viewed it as more of a summer bar - with outdoor seating and a good vibe.

However, I love that they've stepped up the Christmas spirit and added a large tee pee in their outdoor surroundings. Even the door is festive! The contrast of the wood and greenery works really well.

Filled with fairy lights, wreaths and candles, this tee pee is the ideal festive spot. Order drinks from the tee pee bar - serving festive favourites such as mulled wine - and cosy up by the fire pits.

The only potential issue is that, due to popularity, it may be difficult to get a seat here. If you're not too fussed, wait it out at the bar and enjoy your drink and a seat will become available in no time!

20 Stories Rooftop Bar

20 Stories is always a good idea. I just love the whole vibe of it.

Opt for a festive drink such as a hot chocolate or simply enjoy a cocktail in the festive surroundings. We opted for a hot chocolate to warm us up!

If you've read my previous blog post (Blogmas #18) you'll know that I wasn't a huge fan. We described it as a 'posh' hot chocolate as I think it was made with chocolate infused with a high percentage of cocoa which made it slightly bitter-tasting for me. I much prefer a creamy milk hot chocolate but I loved the surroundings!

If you're not a fan of the cold, or want to make your day a bit more special, reserve a spot in one of the 20 Stories igloos and snuggle up with blankets under the heaters.

I love the festive additions to 20 Stories - it has a real Christmassy vibe which I absolutely loved. I'd definitely recommend popping in - even just for a look!

Rosso

Rosso is always goals but at this time of year, their Christmas decor trumps anywhere else in my opinion. Filled with gold bauble wreaths, a huge Christmas tree and pillars complete with baubles and fairy lights; Rosso is the place to be this Christmas.

Following their revamp, Rosso now has a number of single booths by the bar where you can sit, enjoy a drink and - more importantly - charge your phone!

I genuinely couldn't get enough of the Christmas decor. It made me feel so festive, even at a time where I'm not feeling particularly Christmassy! On top of the decor, Rosso were playing back to back Christmas songs including All I Want For Christmas - you just can't not feel festive in this environment!

Rosso is a must visit, especially this Christmas. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco and take in the festive ambience.
