Blogmas #1: On the first day of Blogmas...

I firstly want to take a quick moment to just reflect on the last 2 and a bit years. I started blogging as a hobby to share my outfits, beauty tips and lifestyle. Never in a million years did I think that anyone other than close friends or family would read my blog so I am so grateful to all of you that do. My blog has grown significantly over the last year in particular and I've had some incredible opportunities so far that probably wouldn't have been available had I not had so many fabulous followers and for that I am truly grateful. I'm no where near where I want to be just yet and in the next year I hope to grow my blog into something so much bigger and provide you all with really interesting content as well as meeting many more people.

One of my favourite things so far has definitely been the people that I've met through blogging and events. I've met some of the most hardworking, creative and inspiring people. I've made amazing friends, some that I know I'll have for the rest of my life and I've grown in confidence over the last couple of years. Thank you again to everyone that follows the Life of M and has helped me along the way - it has not gone unnoticed!

Onto Blogmas!

I've not done many personal blog posts in a while so I'm really excited to get creative and write some original content. Of course, while having fun doing it! Christmas is one of my absolute favourite times of the year- you just can't beat it. I love the festivities, the food, the family time and (to spoil the alliteration) all of the alcohol of course!

You're probably wondering what Blogmas is so I thought my first post would just be a brief introduction into what it is and what I'll be getting up to for the next 24 days in the lead up to Christmas.

Blogmas is basically a challenge for all bloggers, if they wish to participate, where they are to post a blog post every single day leading up to Christmas (and if they wish, on Christmas Day). I've opted out of Christmas Day as for me this is a real family day and so I won't be posting on the actual day. However, every other day leading up to it I will be posting a written post on my blog.

Some bloggers choose to do it differently than others. I've decided that all of my posts will have a Winter/Christmas theme and will hopefully get myself and all of my lovely followers into the Christmas spirit by the time Christmas arrives!

You can expect my favourite Christmas things, hauls, wishlists and some Christmassy recipes. I hope you love what I come up with!

With that said, I'm going to stop here and I hope that you enjoy my next 23 posts for Blogmas!
