The 3 best views of Barcelona

Hi guys,

I've recently got back from Barcelona and the holiday blues have well and truly kicked in! I've visited Barcelona twice now so I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to see quite a few of the amazing attractions that the city has to offer.

One of the things that struck me about Barcelona, on both occasions, was the amazing views. There's so many places that you can visit and see the city in all its wonder.

I'm going to share with you my 3 favourite views of Barcelona.

Montjuïc is one of my favourite parts of Barcelona - I could easily visit every time I go to Barcelona and I don't think I would ever tire of it. Montjuïc itself is extremely beautiful but the views are just something else.
In my opinion, there are two places you can get a really good view of Barcelona when up Montjuïc:

By cable car

Travelling to Montjuïc by cable car is an attraction in its own right and is a fun way of getting there. The views are also incredible when you are in the cable car - it provides a great view of Barcelona city but also of the beach!

Montjuïc Castle

Montjuïc Castle is a must visit attraction - I am so glad that I decided to visit this time round as it was easily my favourite part of Barcelona. The history of the castle was fascinating and the architecture was amazing but the views from the castle were on another level.

We came across Miramar by accident as we actually thought that we had arrived at Montjuïc! Miramar is a small area with small gardens, restaurants and viewing points overlooking the city. It is definitely worth a visit if you've got time.

Miramar is only a 10-15 minute walk from the cable car station for Montjuïc.

Park Güell

Last but not least, how could I leave out Park Güell. I didn't visit this time round as I wanted to spend time visiting attractions/places that I didn't get chance to see last time but it definitely has a lasting memory with me as providing one of the best views of the city.

The weather was unfortunately quite foggy when we visited last time so the picture quality isn't amazing but it does give an insight into the amazing view.

With all of the above, as you can probably imagine, pictures just do not do the views justice. The view of each place above is overwhelmingly better in person and I would highly recommend visiting all of the above if you take a trip to Barcelona.
As always, thank you for reading. I hope that you've enjoyed this post.
As I loved Barcelona so much (and have so much to say), there will be several follow up posts so keep your eyes peeled.
I would love to hear from you either by commenting below, by email ( or by Instagram (@xthelifeofm).
